YOUNG REMBRANTS

As a part-time art teacher at an after-school program called Young Rembrants, I noticed that the curriculum naturally incorporated a story structure of beginning, middle, and end. The process involved using penciling first, then outlining ink, and filling in the colors. The objective was for each child to complete and color a drawing within one hour. This simple and attainable goal not only provided a sense of accomplishment but also motivated the kids to work towards a specific objective, even if their drawings were not fully finished.
